Yes, it really happened. Florida lawyers and judges are still laughing about the time Mark Stopa shit his pants in Judge Minkoff’s courtroom. The bench in Courtroom 213 at the Pinellas County Courthouse still bares the evidence of that fateful day for Mark Stopa.
This story is a far cry from the tall tale Stopa likes to tell of being a GOAT lawyer. GOAT lawyers don’t embarrass themselves by having temper tantrums in court or by shitting themselves in public.
The reality was he was nothing but a huckster and a loser who disgraced himself by ripping off vulnerable homeowners. Now, everyone is laughing at Mark Stopa as they await for his eventual indictment for equity skimming and fraud.
What Really Happened In Courtroom 213 When Mark Stopa Shit His Pants
Former associates say Stopa grabbed a 7-11 microwave burrito for a quick lunch on the way to court.
Unfortunately for Stopa his decision met with devastating and shocking results.
Stopa sat in Judge Minkoff’s packed courtroom with 50 other lawyers when he felt and heard his stomach rumble.
Stopa feeling gaseous figured he he would let out a quiet fart that no one would hear. Unfortunately, like 90% of the decisions Stopa has made in life, this decision met with disastrous and humiliating results.
Stopa thought he would lean to the side and let out a simple quiet post-lunch fart. The problem is Stopa has a severely weakened anal sphincter muscle from all his years of gay sex so what should have been just an uneventful fart turned into a massive SHART.
The Shart Heard Around The Courthouse
The sound of it was heard by everyone in Judge Minkoff’s courtroom including Judge Minkoff. The sound reverberated through the wooden bench across the courtroom. Dozens of lawyers patiently waiting for their case to be called felt the vibration of Stopa’s “accident.”
Stopa couldn’t leave the courtroom. He was on the Calender call so, he had to surrender to what he had just done. He was forced to sit there like a baby with a soiled diaper.
There is nothing that stinks up an already stuffy and crowded courtroom more than the putrid stench of the remnants of a half digested rotting burrito. Especially after they have passed through the enzymes of the human digestive system.
The stench of burrito remnants only got worse when it got waffle-pressed through the dress pants by Stopa’s flabby butt cheeks onto the bench.
People had to endure the stench of Stopa’s decaying half digested 7-11 burrito leaking out of his dress slacks for nearly an hour before Judge Minkoff cancelled court for the day.
This allowed Stopa to grab his files and flee the courtroom without anyone realizing the putrid stench was coming from him.
Judge Minkoff Cancels Court for The Day Because Mark Stopa Shit His Pants
As a result of the putrid stench, Judge Minkoff emptied his courtroom until courthouse maintenance could determine what the rancid odor was and where it was coming from.
Within minutes of Judge Minkoff closing his courtroom, Courthouse janitorial team arrived. The stench in the room was so putrid, janitorial staff had to leave and come back in hazmat suits.
They initially thought a dead rat might be stuck in the ventilation system but they soon discovered the remnants of beans and fecal matter from Stopa’s 7-11 burrito embedded in the wood bench exactly where Stopa was sitting.
Crews initially tried to clean the spot with peroxide. However, that didn’t work and they had to resort to oxalic acid. Unfortunately, the oxalic acid stripped the varnish off the bench and bleached out the wood.
The beached out spot is still there in Courtroom 213. This all thanks to retired Chief Judge Anthony Rondolino. He slashed the budget to the court. As a result, maintenance crews were unable to apply a new coat of varnish to the bench.
So, thanks to Judge Rondolino, there is now a permanent reminder of that fateful day Mark Stopa accidentally shit his pants in court.
Maybe this is why the judges of the 6th Circuit were eager to disbar Mark Stopa.
